Our goal is to cast a wide net and find actors who command the screen, and can carry the film with simply a look, a gesture or a single line. We would love to cast local talent and encourage all actors in the state to come out and show us what they have got.
Though both our director and our producers have a template in mind for each character, we are striving to create a complex and diverse world on screen, and encourage everyone to audition regardless of race, age or gender. We will cast on talent alone, and if we are impressed by an audition or the chemistry of a certain actor, that actor will get the role regardless of templates.
We are looking for unique artists who will bring fresh ideas and breathe life into these characters as they take shape and form on screen.
Daisy - Late 20’s. Daisy finds herself in a lonely and scary place, even before the events of the film: recently released from a mental facility for committing a horrible act and shunned by everyone in the town, Daisy is forced to hide during the day and work overnights for minimum wage while trying to cope with her devastating bipolar disorder and make peace with her past.
Possible Actors - Alison Becker (Parks and Recreation), Odette Annable (Cloverfield, Supergirl) Charlotte Vega (The Lodgers)
Jason - Mid-To-Late 30’s. A hitman oozing charm and self-confidence, Jason considers himself a knight in tainted armor: doing bad things for the right reasons… or so he tells himself. He finds his fate intertwined with Daisy’s when he decides to make the 24/7 Diner his working office for the night as he crosses off names and lives from his hit-list.
Possible Actors - William Jackson Harper (The Good Place), Brandon Sklenar (Mapplethorpe), Riz Ahmed (The Nigt Of)
Paul - Late 30’s-40's. A potential love-interest for Daisy who flirts with her as he waits for a friend to arrive at the diner for a late meeting. There is much more to Paul than meets the eye and he may be much darker than the aimable nice guy that he appears to be at first glance.
Possible Actors - Mel Rodriguez (Last Man on Earth), Mark Duplass (Safety Not Guaranteed), Ben Savage (Girl Meets World)
Sid - 40’s-50’s. An older, crotchety cook who has a soft spot for Daisy, despite knowing about the horrible crime she committed. Unable to afford his many medications because of a ruthless insurance company, Sid falls ill at the beginning of our story and Daisy sends him home, even though she is never to be left unattended.
